Passport
A valid U.S. passport is required to enter and depart Peru. If you do not have a passport, you will need to apply for one as soon as possible. The normal turn-around time for a passport is 6-8 weeks. For online passport information, the following links may be used:

Visa
A visa will not need to be obtained for our trip to Peru.
Recommended Vaccinations
The U.S. Center for Disease Control recommends vaccinations for travelers to Peru. Please review the following link and contact your doctor or local health department for further information.

Medical Insurance
We recommend that you consult with your medical insurance company to confirm whether your policy applies overseas and if it will cover emergency expenses such as a medical evacuation. U.S. medical insurance plans seldom cover health costs incurred outside the United States unless supplemental coverage is purchased. Further, U.S. Medicare and Medicaid programs do not provide payment for medical services outside the United States. Many private companies offer reasonable insurance plans that will cover health care expenses incurred overseas, including emergency services such as medical evacuations.
